Mac and having Office on there I didn’t think about. That is an option. Installing Windows as OS on a Mac is rather a bit of abuse, I’d say…. Poor one.

You will be able to edit Office files with a mac, Microsoft Officie is avaliable for OS X. And if you really feel like it, you will be able to run Windows on it as well

If the money isn’t a big problem, why not have a go and try the mac platform? =)

Thank you Dale. You are right, that really is the best way. Unless you have an incredibly conservative person in front of you. And I reckon you as a non-German also have a bonus point from that perspective. Always good to play that card, too, if it comes down to it .

Thanks for the kind words and thoughts on the subject. I confuse students here terribly. On the one hand, I am a professor, on the other, I am an American inclined toward informality and with an inability to call anyone by their last name. I mix Sie with first names and I have noticed how that really cooks some people’s noodles. In the end, a friendly, forthright attitude gets one through these situations.

Har en rolig historia om hur det kan bli när en del av oss svenskar ska uttala engelska/amerikanska ord. Jag var lägerledare en sommar i USA och hörde om en svensk tjej som tog med lite presenter till sin värdfamilj. Naturligtvis var det klassiska svenska saker, som i det här fallet ekströms blåbärssoppepulver. Men det kan ju vara lite svårt att få till det här med soup eller soap. Så det slutade med att farmodern i familjen var riktigt blå och undrande efter en skön stund i badkaret. Undrar hur länge hon var blå????

Well spotted, Than It was a beautiful sunshiny day – 12 centigrades minus outside, but otherwise just great. So I indeed sat in the sunshine while working, and treated myself to food shopping for New Years during lunch. Filling up the vitamin D reserves, ya know… Now it is dark again, but no clouds and one sees the last sun rays disappear behind the neighbour houses.
